Fluyt is a professional, registry-native trading desk for environmental certificates, settled in Bitcoin. We work only with verified business counterparties who meet our eligibility criteria. This page explains who we onboard, who we decline, and the standards we apply to every relationship.
1. Professional Counterparties Only
Fluyt is designed exclusively for professional users, including:
- Corporations purchasing REGOs, GOs, RECs, I-RECs or carbon credits
- Bitcoin-mining companies and HPC/datacentre operators
- Businesses with BTC treasury holdings
- Trading desks and brokers buying environmental certificates for their Clients
- International companies procuring renewable energy certificates across multiple regions
We do not offer services to individuals acting in a personal capacity or to consumers.
2. Business Requirements
To participate in the Fluyt Pilot, a Client must:
- Be a legally incorporated company or registered organisation
- Provide a verifiable business address
- Have a legitimate need for environmental certificates
- Be able to provide appropriate KYC documentation
- Have authorised representatives with decision-making authority
- Be able to transact using their own self-controlled BTC wallet or treasury system
Additional checks may apply to high-volume or multi-jurisdiction Clients.
3. Geographic Eligibility
We accept Clients incorporated in jurisdictions with acceptable AML, sanctions and corporate transparency standards. We decline Clients from:
- Sanctioned countries
- Jurisdictions associated with high money-laundering or secrecy risk
- Countries lacking basic company registration transparency
If in doubt, we may request additional documentation or proof of business presence.
4. Environmental Certificate Use-Case Requirements
Clients must have a clear, legitimate environmental or operational purpose for acquiring environmental certificates, for example:
- Renewable electricity reporting (Scope 2)
- Corporate sustainability targets
- Bitcoin mining or datacentre usage matching
- Regional compliance or voluntary reporting frameworks
- Direct client delivery (for brokers/traders)
We do not supply certificates for speculative, investment or tokenisation schemes.
5. Bitcoin Settlement Requirements
To transact with Fluyt, Clients must:
- Control their own BTC wallet
- Pay directly from a wallet they control (not a mixer or anonymising service)
- Use reasonable network fees to ensure confirmation within quote windows
- Be comfortable with on-chain verification and screening
We do not support Lightning during the Pilot and do not operate pooled wallets or escrow structures.
6. Who We Do Not Work With
Fluyt does not onboard or trade with:
- Retail individuals or consumers
- Anonymous or pseudonymous entities
- Companies without verifiable beneficial ownership
- Entities involved in tokenised EACs, tokenised carbon or synthetic green assets
- Businesses with unclear, suspicious or inconsistent environmental claims
- Clients unwilling or unable to follow KYC or provide documentation
- Entities attempting to use environmental certificates for money laundering schemes
- Clients who send BTC from mixers, coinjoin clusters or sanctioned sources
We reserve the right to decline or terminate relationships at our discretion where risk is unacceptable.
7. Our Commitments
When working with eligible Clients, we commit to:
- Clear, fast communication
- Fair and transparent quotes
- Registry-native delivery (no tokenisation, no synthetic instruments)
